Summary	Washington, D.C.--Reuben B. Robertson, Jr., of Hamilton, Ohio, was sworn in today as Deputy Secretary of Defense in a White House ceremony. President Eisenhower awarded Robertson a "diploma" (his official order of appointment) and advised him that "instead of being an ordinary citizen, you are now a servant." President Eisenhower is shown here congratulating, and handing the "diploma" to Mr. Robertson. Shown center is Secretary of Defense Charles E. Wilson.
