Notes	Badge is made of three linked components. The top bar is a horizontal oblong with the word "MARKSMAN" inscribed on the obverse. Mounted on this bar is a sunburst rising from its top center with the text "2 YEAR" superimposed on it. The reverse has a hinged pin clasp. The second bar is the same as the top bar except the oblong has the word "SHARPSHOOTER" inscribed on the obverse, and the sunburst has "1 YEAR" superimposed on it. The main planchet is a vertical oval with an open-top wreath around the outside edge, a spread-winged eagle perched on a rectangular target is at the top of the oval, and a shield in the center of the oval. The shield contains elements of the State seal on the left and a verical American flag on the right. The reverse of the planchet has the manufacturer's name "TIFFANY & CO" inscribed.;Badge components indicate individual qualified as a small arms marksman for two years and sharpshooter for one year.
