Summary	Shell is made of dark, polished brass, with two curling brass handles affixed to opposite sides. A crown bearing fleurs-de-lis, other unidentified flowers, and jewels has been applied to the middle of the shell, with the inscription "1916" below. This inscription has been created by engraving a series of dots to form the lines.
Notes	Title by cataloger.; Bottom of shell has the inscription "16.; While the headstamp does not indicate caliber, the body of the shell is approximately 47 mm in diameter. This is consistent with the size of the shells used with QF 3 pounder Hotchkiss and Vickers guns, used by France and Great Britain during WWI.
