Physical Description	1 cup : brass ; 10 cm in height, 8 cm in diameter
Summary	Shell is made of dark, polished brass, and has been cut down into a cup shape from its full height, with scalloped top edges. A pebbled area reveals embossed and engraved flowers and leaves. Near the bottom edge is the inscription "Hamel". The bottom of the cup does not resemble the base of an artillery shell; a separate metal section might have been soldered on, or the edges of the shell base might have been sanded off.
