Summary	The letter opener, or knife, has a 8 mm rifle cartridge for its handle, with the projectile still attached. The blade appears to have been soldered onto the bullet projectile. The blade itself is curved. On one side "Somme" is inscribed. It is possible that the inscription is referring to the Battle of Somme which was fought in 1916.
